No Relation

In 1976, two young women from very different backgrounds and lifestyles share a room in a maternity ward.

They live in opposite ends of a small town. Their paths had never crossed before they gave birth to baby girls on the same day.

Fifteen years later, when their baby daughters become teenagers, an unexpected meeting unearths disturbing and life changing facts about their birth, and those of their families.

There is anger, heartache and frustration from all concerned, as everyone tries to adjust to the new uncompromising circumstances.

My poems have been included in several anthologies, and I co-edited and contributed to ‘Poets on Prescription,’ a collection of poems centred on the experiences of medical workers.
